The San Diego County Office of Education's (SDCOE) Outdoor Education Program is recruiting for Substitute Food Service Workers to work as needed in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, CA. The work site includes a residential camping facility as well as conference centers.
This position will be involved in food preparation and general cleaning and upkeep of the kitchen.
This is an entry-level assignment. Previous food service experience preferred.

- Candidates who do not hold a valid Food Service Handler Certification may qualify by successfully completing FSH certification with SDCOE within 10 days of employment

It is important to note to become a substitute/limited-term employee, there will be a fingerprinting requirement that currently costs $77 (this is an up-front, out-of-pocket cost that must be paid in the form of a money order or cashier’s check). In addition, if you apply and are selected for a permanent position at any point there would be an additional $77 cost (currently) for fingerprinting as a permanent employee (taken out of your first regular paycheck).
