Description
ID# 31199A - Provides direct and indirect services to clients. Is available as a consultant to the community as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides individual, group, conjoint, and family therapy, both short and long term. Conduct intake evaluations and provide all case management services for those clients as required.
Complete all required documentation, report writing, and correspondence within the mandated time frames. Provide case management services to assigned clients as needed.
Participate in co-location rotation at any or all DPSS, GAIN, Job Club, or any other off-site location deemed appropriate for the program. Provide consultation and education to the community as needed.
Other Duties as assigned by the Program Manager or Coordinator.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have a master’s degree from an accredited school of Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. Registered with the Boar of Behavioral Sciences. Associate Marriage Family Therapy or Associate Clinical Social Work hours available.
Two years experience in a mental health setting a plus. Community Mental Health experience desirable. Must act in accordance with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996 and related state law confidentiality requirements. Must successfully complete the Center’s HIPAA training, pass the HIPAA, and receive the Certification of Compliance.
Strong motivation to learn, capacity for self-examination, self-disclosure, and an ability to empathize the clients.
Good oral, written, and organizational skills. Maintain valid California Driver’s License and valid insurance.
Ability to perform psychosocial assessment, and crisis intervention. Knowledge or experience with Domestic Violence and Substance Abuse, a plus.
Bilingual, bicultural, (Spanish Speaking) a plus.
