Job Title:   Program Manager – CRDP Trans Thrive

Location: Onsite at Trans Thrive, San Francisco (not eligible for remote)

Reports to: Nicky Calma, Managing Director of Trans Services

Classification: Full Time Permanent, Exempt

 

About Us: 

San Francisco Community Health Center is a federally qualified health center that provides culturally competent high quality medical care, mental health services, education, and outreach. We are a safety-net for the LGBTQ community, the unsheltered community, people who use substances, and those with mental health needs. We are an anchor-organization for San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, and we also lead regional, statewide, and national programming.

What is the California Reducing Disparity Project?

The California Reducing Disparity Project (CRDP) is a statewide policy initiative to identity solutions for historically unserved, underserved, and inappropriately served communities.  The California Mental Health Equity Project (CMHEP) is part of CRDP’s strategic plan to reduce mental health disparities. SFCHC has been chosen to represent the LGBTQ community for the purposes of this initiative. 

 

Role Summary:

This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of transgender individuals. You will be part of a team dedicated to reducing disparities and ensuring equitable access to essential services.

Leading the CRDP team at Trans:Thrive to ensure the program runs smoothly and effectively. Collaborate with other Trans service programs across the agency and the city. Champion data-driven decisions by building a measurement system and clear reports. Drive positive change by increasing access to vital services for transgender clients. Design and measure program outcomes to showcase the CRDP's impact.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the CRDP program team, ensuring efficient and effective program execution.
  • Foster collaboration by coordinating with other Trans services program managers.
  • Champion data-driven decision making by building a system to capture and measure program effectiveness. Translate data insights into clear reports to keep the CRDP staff informed.
  • Drive positive change by implementing strategies to increase access to critical services for transgender clients at Trans Thrive.
  • Collaborating with CRDP staff design and measure program outcomes through the development of metrics that demonstrate the impact of the CRDP.
  • Represent SFCHC by attending meetings with CRDP staff including the program evaluator and other staff.
  • Manage grant budget by reviewing grant objectives regularly, and producing timely and accurate updates on progress, spend, risk, and rewards. 
  • Collaborate with members of the SFCHC agency by utilizing agency knowledge and expertise across Community Engagement, HIV Services, Harm Reduction, HR, Wellness Clinic, Behavioral Health, Taimon Booton Navigation Center (TBNC), and more. 
  • Nourish current and create new relationships with external partners by staying up to date on city wide initiatives related to Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming care. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

Qualifications: 

  • 4 Years of proven experience overseeing programs from development and implementation to evaluation. 
  • Demonstrated experience juggling multiple tasks and keeping projects on track. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage program finances effectively.
  • Proven experience motivating and guiding program team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. 
  • Experience effectively recruiting, training, and supervising volunteers. 
  • Demonstrated comfortability nurturing stakeholder relationships including with donors, funders, city staff. 
  • Must obtain TB clearance (within past 12 months) and complete background check upon acceptance of job offer.
  • Current with vaccinations including Covid-19 vaccine and at least one booster, and most recent flu vaccine and able to provide proof of vaccine status. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish.
  • Grant writing and evaluation skills.
  • Experience working in an FQHC or other type of Community Health Center.
