This recruitment will be used to consider applicants for both full-time and part-time positions at various locations.
Under general nursing and medical direction, utilizing standardized procedures, the Nurse Practitioner functions within an organized system for the delivery of health care in association with other members of the multidisciplinary health care team and performs specialized nurse practitioner duties in clinical settings. Essential duties include but are not limited to all or some of the following :
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
1. LICENSE : Possession of a valid permanent / temporary California license as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing; AND
2. LICENSE : Possession of a valid California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing; AND
3. LICENSE : Possession of a current medication furnishing license issued by the California Board of Registered Nurses; AND
4. EDUCATION : Possession of a Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited college or university; AND
5. CERTIFICATION : Possession of national board certification, or eligibility, as a Nurse Practitioner issued by one of the following recognized national certifying body or organization :

Selection Procedures : After application submission, candidates deemed qualified must complete all subsequent steps to advance in this selection process, which includes the following.
Training and Experience Evaluation (Weight : 100%) : Candidates that meet the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in a Training and Experience Evaluation that is designed to measure the knowledge, skills, and abilities in job-related areas that have been identified as critical for satisfactory performance in this position.
The link to the training and experience evaluation will also be emailed to the address listed on the candidate’s online application. Candidates will be required to respond to the training and experience evaluation in the time frame indicated and must submit the completed questionnaire as directed to have it evaluated. Responses cannot be changed once submitted. Candidates will be evaluated based on their responses.
Candidates must achieve a passing score on the training and experience evaluation to continue in the selection process and will be placed on the confidential eligible list in rank order according to their final score.
Additional selection processes may be conducted by the hiring department prior to making final hiring decisions.
Certification : The certification rule for the eligible list resulting from this examination will be the Rule of the List.
The duration of the eligible list resulting from this examination process will be 6 months and may be extended with the approval of the Human Resources Director.
