Summary of Position: The San Francisco Yacht Club seeks an energetic, outgoing, engaging, and customer focused Receptionist for Front Desk and Ship’s Store dedicated to providing excellent customer service to our members and their guests. This is a part-time position. Schedule may vary based on Club’s needs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Passion for creating exceptional experiences for all Members and Guests
- Maintains knowledge of and answers Member questions regarding Clubhouse, harbor, dining reservations, club events, private events, youth programs and merchandise
- Communicate efficiently with Members, Guests, and Club Management and Staff
- Acknowledge Members and Guests accordingly as they enter and exit the Clubhouse
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Receive incoming phone calls and emails and respond to Member requests
- Book dining room and club event reservations
- Administrative and marketing related tasks for Club events and ala carte dining
- Assist with merchandising in the Ship’s Store, include designing displays and promotions
- Responsible for sales in the Ship’s Store
- Assist with monthly inventory of Ship’s Store merchandise
- Makes recommendations for new merchandise
- Other duties as assigned
QUALITIES, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must be able to provide outstanding front office member service
- Knowledge of computers with average typing skills
- Proficient in the use of Northstar Club Management Software suite a plus
- Must possess written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
- Ability to work Holidays, Weekends and evenings
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent standing and repetitive actions.
- Bending, stooping, lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- CPR/First Aid Certified a plus
