What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities and Maintenance Specialist position at San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission?
Under the direction of the Facilities Superintendent, who is responsible for overseeing facilities, maintenance and grounds, the Facilities and Maintenance Specialist (MFS) will help support the facilities team. The MFS will coordinate and schedule various facilities activities, coordinate the flow of work and materials within all departments, at the direction of the Superintendent. Duties include reviewing, distributing and confirming the availability of materials for maintenance, team projects, shipping supplies, and shipment schedules, conferring with department supervisors to determine the progress of work and completion dates, compiling reports on the progress of work, usage of materials, inventory levels, costs, and completion, manage equipment, machinery and vehicles. The MFS will also assist in ensuring stations are maintained at the highest level possible Support facility and maintenance operations, manage equipment, machinery, and vehicles. This role is essential for efficient warehouse management and inventory control, ensuring the agency's assets are tracked, maintained, and optimized for maximum performance. The MFS also performs clerical duties, and oversees the maintenance and storage of parts and equipment. Attention to detail, technical proficiency, and excellent organizational skills are crucial for managing the full asset lifecycle and ensuring compliance with regulations. |
