This position is responsible for directing the operations of the Testing Center and Accessibility Services Center.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Supervises Testing Center (CLC) daily operations; ensures compliance with college and National College Testing Association standards.
- Trains, assigns, directs, supervises, evaluates and disciplines personnel.
- Coordinates with vendors regarding computer or policy changes, creating monthly schedules, system upgrades, proctor requirements and other standards; maintains proctor certifications; monitors and verifies staff certifications.
- Supervises, schedules and performs computer system updates as required.
- Schedules exam dates and rooms; hires, schedules and trains room supervisors and proctors; prepares testing materials for each administration.
- Oversees the development and implementation of disability services; ensures institutional compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act regulations; coordinates the provision of accommodations for students with disabilities; coordinates related faculty and staff training.
- Collects and analyzes continuous quality improvement data in accordance with college policies.
- Develops, monitors and balances the department budget.
- Initiates, renews and completes contractual processes with vendors; seeks new vendor relationships.
- Attends professional organization meetings; remains informed of current best practices.
- Researches test information upon request.
- Initiates and implements marketing strategies in support of Testing Center services.
- Serves on college committees and work groups.
- Performs related duties.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a master’s degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
- Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and functions of the subunits in the division/department in order to direct and coordinate work within the division/department, usually interpreted to require three to five years of related experience.
