Position Overview :
The Program Manager oversees daily after-school programming, emphasizing member and staff safety, outcome-driven services, staff supervision, principal partnership and communication, and parent relations. They lead programs in the San Leandro and San Lorenzo Unified School Districts funded under the A.S.E.S (After School Education and Safety) and ELOP (Expanded Learning Opportunities Program) grants. As the main liaison for the after-school program site, the Program Manager reports to an Area Director, providing active leadership and supervision. They are responsible for coaching staff, overseeing student enrollment and daily attendance, interviewing potential KCC and YDP candidates, and gathering data for grant reports and annual program planning.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions :
Leadership & Strategic Planning :
- Manage after-school site programs, activities, and services to prepare youth for success and foster an outcome-driven environment, ensuring compliance with A.S.E.S. / ELOP standards and maintaining a safe environment.
- Provide leadership to Kinder Care Coordinator and Youth Development Professionals (YDPs), guiding child supervision, youth enrichment programming, and parent relationships.
- Participate in and occasionally plan meetings, trainings, and activities, attending mandatory trainings and organizational events.
- Manage, implement, and evaluate overall programs, staff, services, and activities to meet grant compliance and member needs.
- Compile monthly reports, utilize CRM (MyClubHub) data, and conduct ongoing site observations to assess program effectiveness and partner with key stakeholders to make recommendations for improvement.
