San Luis Valley Health is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Clinician I to provide behavioral health support in the San Luis Valley Health's emergency department, hospital floor, labor & delivery, and clinics as needed. The Clinician will be responsible for working in an integrated within a “hybrid model” - administering screenings, brief interventions, coordination of care, and ongoing therapy services to a panel of patients.
What You’ll Need :
- Master’s degree in field of mental health (such as counseling or social work), required
- Licensed in the State of Colorado preferred but not required
- Trained in crisis and emergency intervention, preferred
- BLS Certification required
- Must be credentialed or eligible to participate in State and Federal healthcare programs and private insurances
- Knowledge of acute and chronic care protocols and in the delivery of behavioral health care
- Knowledge of how to assess patient health
- Knowledge of health promotion principles, techniques, and patient learning measurements
- Strong communication skills – clear and professional communication with patients, providers, colleagues, and administration
- Comfortable with being a self-starter and taking initiative to respond to the needs of the team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical setting
- Skilled at multi-tasking, organization, and attention to detail
- Competent in using basic technology
