Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team at the San Patricio Municipal Water District.
The successful candidate will have a degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a similar engineering field, and experience in water treatment design is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and check engineering designs, details, estimates, plans, and specifications
- Review proposed projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Select and use computer software to develop engineering and mathematical analysis of design problems
- Direct field crews engaged in a variety of engineering construction, maintenance, and repair activities on projects
Requirements:
- Degree from an ABET accredited program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar engineering field
- Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE)
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Registration by the State of Texas as an Engineer-in-Training, or Professional Engineer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in water treatment design
- Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, open channel and pipe flow, lake and stream water quality issues, earthwork and grading plans, permitting
