SUMMARY
Reporting into the CEO, the Facilities Security Officer position is instrumental to coordinate and monitor Department of Defense and intelligence community security program and other security activities, including ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Conduct security briefings and local security education programs. Liaise with outside agencies and keep upper management informed of all investigation results. Implement standard security procedures, participate in fact finding, manage access controls, and coordinate classified document control and distribution. Communicate security procedures and policies to employees and subcontractors. Prepare for and participate in security compliance audits and vulnerability assessments.
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES
- Execute and monitor office security policies, procedures and practices in compliance with Government Security requirements outlined in 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM
- Serve as the principal advisor to the SMO concerning the safeguarding of classified and CUI information.
- Provide training guidance and instructions to all employees to ensure any event, circumstance or act that could be a breach of security is reported immediately
- Administer DISS, NBIS & NISS activity including processing clearances visit requests and maintaining FCL records
- Maintain all records in compliance with security manual and 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM procedures
- Primary contact for DCSA reviews and correspondence
- Prepare and maintain documentation, such as files, reports, correspondence, and certificates.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on contract administration and best practices.
- Support audits, reviews, and investigations, and respond to inquiries and requests from government agencies.
- Develop and implement contract management policies, procedures, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of seven years related experience maintaining security clearance over programs in a corporate environment.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Adobe, and digital signature system.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range: $63,00-$75,000 annual
