Geospatial Lidar QA/QC Engineer

SUMMARY

The Lidar Quality Engineer provides technical expertise in lidar and ensures final deliverables meet contractual specifications and exceeds customer expectations.

LOCATION: Colorado Springs, CO In-Office with Hybrid potential

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES

• Reviews all technical aspects of lidar projects, including compliance with quality/specifications.
• Performs complex lidar processing to ensure customer calls are addressed and final products meet expectations.
• Completes data processing and transformations as necessary and performs the final review of lidar files and products as needed prior to delivery.
• Complex review of software for lidar quality control and value-added services.
• Uses complete understanding of lidar principles and additional complex understanding of all geospatial and remote sensing disciplines to act as a technical expert.
• Reviews 3^rd party data and provides documented feedback on issues and areas of concern.
• Follow Sanborn's Quality Management System (QMS) to assure quality and provide ISO training to employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor's in Geography or related field. Master's degree preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education requirement.

EXPERIENCE

• 3 years of experience with lidar data.
• Advanced technical expertise in all phases of Lidar.

Salary Range: 65K - 85K annual
