Job Overview:
We are seeking a few culinary individuals who want to join our team. These roles are ideal for someone with the desire to start or continue their culinary career in a semi casual upscale restaurant. The Kitchen team will be responsible for food preparation, maintaining safety, sanitation and working together to ensure our members have a great experience.
Positions available:
- Dishwashers: Seeking a part time job that's a few days/nights a week and don't mind keeping the restaurant moving forward? The Dishwasher is a key member of the kitchen staff and a great starting point for anyone who is looking to start their career. Moving out of dish and up to prep cook is something desired.
- Prep Cooks: The Prep cooks are the backbone in any kitchen team. You are the go to for the needs of the line and preparing items before service.
- Line Cook: The Line Cooks are the extra hands of the chef. Keeping the standards that are set and putting out quality food to our members. These positions are for people who have some experience and want to showcase their knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Communicate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience working in a kitchen setting.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions under pressure.
- General knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
