The resort encompasses over 180 units ranging from one (1) to six (6) bedrooms for guests to relax in during their stay. Our Night Auditor oversees the Resort Desk operations and performs a variety of administrative tasks during the overnight shift. This role involves ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining guest satisfaction, and providing support to guests during the late hours of operation. The Night Auditor balances daily financial reports, resolves any discrepancies, and assists with guest check-ins and check-outs. This position could also be an optional Guest Services Swing Shift team member.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with check-ins, check-outs, and reservations
• Address guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally
• Provide assistance with luggage, directions, and other guest needs.
• Perform daily audits of hotel operations, including balancing cash drawers, credit card payments, and guest accounts
• Reconcile all transactions for the day, ensuring accuracy in billing and charges
• Review and verify all financial reports for discrepancies and resolve any issues
• Prepare and generate night audit reports, including revenue reports, occupancy, and billing summaries
• Ensure that all charges are accurately posted to guest folios
• Verify, count, and record cash transactions and credit card payments
• Prepare deposits and ensure funds are secure
• Ensure compliance with resort policies and procedures in all financial processes
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, payments, and guest information
• Ensure that daily checklists are completed and reports are filed as required
• Assist with emergencies, including fire drills, guest medical emergencies, and evacuations if necessary
• Lock and secure any areas as needed
• Communicate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) regarding guest needs, issues, or requests
• Document and relay any important information or guest requests for the morning shift

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality management or accounting is preferred
• Previous experience in a hotel or resort setting, preferably in a Resort Desk or Guest Services role

Skills

• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in financial reports
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and cash handling
• Strong problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a desk
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., luggage)
• Ability to stand, walk, and respond to emergencies when required
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed

Work Environment

• Work in a resort environment with occasional exposure to noise, guests, and diverse weather conditions.

JOB TYPE: Part-Time

SHIFT: Night Auditor: 10:00PM - 6:00 AM;

Swing Guest Service Hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

PAY RATE: $15/hr
