Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Your responsibilities will include preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service to patients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a prescribing MD
- Ensure proper labeling and packaging of medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and prescription information
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of pharmaceutical abbreviations
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care
- Knowledge of critical care procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with pharmacy technician duties and responsibilities
- Experience with IV infusion and inhalation medications
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
