Residential Energy Consultant Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Solar & Battery Sales Specialist to join our team. The residential solar and battery space is accelerating again, and Sandbar Solar & Electric is looking for experienced professionals to consult with homeowners on in-home solar and battery systems.

Eligible Candidates:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years successfully selling solar and/or home battery systems (in-home)
- Bring solar & sales knowledge beyond simply selling
- Punctual, organized, hardworking, focused and charismatic
- Understanding how solar works, how to evaluate existing electric panels, and how to properly size solar with batteries
Responsibilities:
- Work with a mix of company-provided and self-generated leads to consult on and sell in-home residential solar and battery backup systems to homeowners in the Central CA Coast and outlying areas
- Manage your sales pipeline effectively
- Keep your accounts up to date
- Qualify new leads and schedule appointments
- Maintain your calendar and show up to meetings on time and prepared
- Follow-up
- Closing deals
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years selling solar and/or battery storage systems (in-home)
- Pass a background check
- Attend regular team meetings at Sandbar HQ
- Be able to travel to customers' homes for consultations
- Produce accurate proposals using Sandbar's computer-based design tools
- Maintain customer account data in our CRM
