The Service Manager is responsible for all operational aspects of the service shop, ensuring effective personnel management, optimizing sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient stock control, financial management, and compliance with safety and operational regulations while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5-years proven Equipment Service-related operations and/or management, or equivalent experience, required.
-Leadership experience with ability to manage, mentor and motivate a team
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Service-related procedures and practices and mechanical aptitude.
-Proficiency with Computer knowledge.
-Ability to analyze and interpret financial documents.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsible for overseeing day to day operations, supervision and performance evaluation of service department personnel.
Shop Operations Management: Oversee and schedule the daily workflow of the service shop, ensuring timely and efficient repairs and maintenance of agricultural equipment.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and support service technicians, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Customer Service: Build strong relationships with customers, assess their equipment needs, provide estimates, and ensure satisfaction with the services provided.
Inventory & Parts Management: Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, order necessary supplies, and ensure the availability of essential components for repairs.
Scheduling & Workflow Coordination: Prioritize service requests, allocate work to technicians, and monitor progress to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure shop operations comply with all company policies, industry regulations, and workplace safety standards.
Budget & Cost Control: Monitor shop expenses, labor costs, and profitability while identifying areas for improvement in efficiency and cost savings.
Technical Support & Problem-Solving: Assist technicians in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical or technical issues.
