Job Description:
The Material Sourcing Expert will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to provide high-quality products and services at competitive prices
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform procurement decisions and negotiate favorable contracts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop solutions to drive growth and profitability
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing purchasing preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong background in supplier sourcing, supplier selection, supplier evaluation and negotiations
- Advanced MS Word and Excel knowledge
- Familiar with Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) standards
