Asphalt Mechanic - AM0125
Sanders Brother Construction is currently seeking a professional mechanic to assist in the maintenance of Sanders Brothers' vehicle fleet. The Mechanic will be a major contributor to Sanders Brother's 50 years of success in the construction industry.
The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining fleet of heavy truck and general-purpose vehicle fleet used to support construction related projects in accordance with Department of Transportation and company safety guidelines.
Responsibilities include :
- Diagnoses and repairs on fleet consisting of regular and diesel-powered vehicles / trucks including heavy trucks - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and / or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment and air conditioning systems.
- Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees on an as-required basis.
- Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Assisting technician mechanics in performing technical activities.
- Keeps company management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
- Maintains an organized neat and safe vehicle repair bay.
