IPS – Rubbercraft is seeking a Conventional Lathe & Miller Operator ( Tool & Die Maker) who is critical to the successful operation of the extrusion department. The die maker must be proficient in building dies along with the use of all the equipment to do so. He / she must be knowledgeable in the typical properties and behaviors of elastomeric materials as well as the operation of extrusion equipment and machinery.

Job Accountabilities :
- Build extrusion dies so that the finished product is within the tolerance and specifications of the drawings and process router
- Assist with the installation and rework of dies if and when necessary
- Maintain the appropriate records on extrusion dies, including relevant dimensional data, die number, type of material, etc.
- Order and maintain sufficient supplies as required
- Encourage process and manufacturing improvements when and if insufficiencies exist on Opportunity For Improvements (OFI) Forms
- Enforce good housekeeping and safety practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook or directed by the V.P. of Operations
- Responsible for any projects or tasks as assigned by the Extrusion Foreman and subsequent follow-up information and status of tasks
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Job Specifications :
Years Experience : 4-5 plus years’ experience in die making, experience with rubber preferred
Education : High School Graduate or GED equivalent
