Job Summary:
The Group Events Sales Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the sales, coordination, and execution of unforgettable group experiences at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. This position focuses on selling and organizing team-building events, adult recreational programs, beach bonfires, fishing tours, sunset cruises, beach parties, and other group activities. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic, guest-facing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist the Group Events Manager in promoting, selling, and coordinating group events and adult programs.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients during the planning and execution phases of events.
- Coordinate logistics for fishing tours, sunset cruises, bonfires, and a variety of beach and team-building activities.
- Prepare and maintain event documents, including proposals, contracts, itineraries, and activity summaries.
- Work with internal departments, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless event execution.
- Greet and interact with clients and guests, ensuring exceptional service throughout the event experience.
- Set up and break down events, including physical labor such as carrying supplies, lifting equipment, and organizing spaces.
- Maintain accurate records of event activities, guest feedback, and sales opportunities.
- Support marketing and promotional efforts related to events and group activities.
- Other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in hospitality, event coordination, recreation, or sales preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Comfortable engaging with guests and clients in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with event or sales software a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, sun, wind, and light rain.
- Must be comfortable on a boat dock, on boats and around water.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor associated with event set-up and breakdown.
- Comfortable working on the beach and near water, including docks and boats.
