What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Test Examiner position at Sandhills Community College?
1. Serve as primary contact for all HSE vendors and NCCCS administration regarding official testing administration, policies, and compliance.
2. Pass the High School Equivalency vendor’s exam to become certified as official HSE test examiner for all HSE vendors utilized by the college. Maintain certification by completing required trainings annually.
3. Administer and monitor the delivery of HSE tests in accordance with High School Equivalency vendor policies and procedures at Moore and Hoke County campuses and in Hoke Correctional Institution.
4. Communicate HSE policies, schedules, changes, and concerns to CCR Director and other staff.
5. Schedule and publicize testing sessions and effectively communicate information with CCR staff and students.
6. Ensure all scheduled testing sessions are covered by a trained and certified Tester and all testers are in compliance with vendor policy.
7. Interface with management of designated testing sites, the SCC IT department, and/or test vendors to help resolve any questions or concerns.
8. Facilitate the continuity of HSE testing access for our service area.
9. Submit HSE vendor contract and associated documentation and State HSE Test Security Plans at required time intervals.
10. Order and maintain supply of HSE test materials and return appropriate materials as scheduled.
11. Submit reports of HSE testing activities as requested by the HSE vendor, NCCCS, and other appropriate parties.
12. Process HSE Passers Report requests in a timely manner and distribute to Data Manager.
13. Complete transitions interviews with each HSE completer, providing information about transitioning opportunities, SCC Scholarship letters, and information about annual graduation ceremony.
14. Assist with the student post-testing needs of the CCR department to include administration of TABE tests, CASAS Reading GOALS, etc.
1. Bachelor’s Degree required.2. Experience in a certified testing center or administering official high school equivalency tests.
3. Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, word processing programs and data entry.
4. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in a correctional facility.
6. Ability to demonstrate success on test of basic skills.
Salary : $42,000 - $49,000
