Sandhills Community College is seeking applications for a Full-Time CCR Program Support Specialist. The incumbent will be required to work with students, CCR coordinators, instructors, and test examiners.  This role is the first contact for all new CCR students.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Manage the in-take process for all ESL/HSE applicants for two campuses from initial contact to final scheduling of pre-tests via phone, text, or email.  
  2. Develop/maintain the monthly pre- and post- testing schedule for both campuses with the objective to maximize the number of students testing in a single session.  
  3. Coordinate and facilitate ESL/HSE orientation briefings multiple times throughout the year.  Maintain orientation briefing materials ensuring they are updated with program changes.  
  4. Assist with graduation duties including the planning of and participation in.
  5. Assist with student recruiting and outreach as needed.
  6. Assists coordinators with developing and implementing retention strategies. 
  7. Administer tests to students on various platforms including TABE and CASAS (as needed basis).  Inputs test scores for pre and post test students into ADVANSYS.
  8. Attend CCR Department and Continuing Education meetings.
  9. Demonstrates servant leadership, has effective communication skills, and works effectively as a team member. 
  10. Complete additional assignments as directed.
 

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Attend a minimum of 12 hours of staff development per year as directed by Director of CCR.
  2. Proficient with database, spreadsheet, word processing programs, and Google Translate.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
       5. Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of the CCR program as incumbent is  
           frequently the first CCR employee to engage with new applicants to the 
           program.  
  1. Associate’s Degree required.
  2. Proficiency in Office 365.
  3. Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and data entry.
  4. Excellent customer service and strong interpersonal skills to support a busy team environment.
  5. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  6. Flexibility, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. 
  7. Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good judgment, tact, and courtesy.
  9. Experience with ADVANSYS preferred.  
  10. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred. 
  11. Experience with College and Career Readiness program preferred.

Salary : $41,327 - $44,426
