Overview
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements throughout the Nursing Facility. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to providing high-quality service to residents and staff.
Responsibilities :
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory of supplies.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of special events and activities within the facility.
- Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance to identify areas for improvement and contribute to ongoing maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, conducting regular safety checks and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance needs outside of regular working hours.
- Foster a positive and respectful relationship with residents, encouraging feedback and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
