What are the responsibilities and job description for the RECREATION ASSISTANT (MUST HAVE NURSING HOME EXP) position at Sands Point Center for Health & Rehabilitation?
As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our residents by:
- Planning and orchestrating captivating large and small group programs that cater to the social, emotional, spiritual, physical, and cognitive needs of our diverse adult population.
- Safely transporting residents to and from activities on a daily basis, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment.
- Maintaining meticulous documentation, including assessments, progress notes, program attendance, and participation records.
- Conducting Therapeutic Recreation assessments upon admission for Short-Term Care (STC) and Long-Term Care (LTC) residents.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
- To be eligible for this position, you should have the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Short-Term Care (STC) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting with a focus on geriatric populations is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with documentation systems such as MDS and Sigma Care.
Salary : $17 - $21
