Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreation programs.
- Observe and document resident participation, mood, and behavior.
- Collaborate with residents and families to tailor recreation programs.
- Participate in discharge planning and resident assessments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and facility policies.
- Facilitate group and individual activities to enhance resident engagement.
- Supervise recreational outings, community walks, and facility events.
- Prepare and clean recreation areas for scheduled activities.
- Transport residents within the facility to various programs.
- Encourage participation in social, physical, and mental wellness activities.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimize resident care.
- Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
- Ability to make independent decisions as needed.
- Willingness to learn and incorporate new recreation methods.
- Nursing home experience preferred.
