RV Resort General Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of operations at Sandusky RV Resort. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in hospitality or resort management. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the resort, maximizing revenue, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

• Oversee daily operations, including guest services, maintenance, housekeeping, and groundskeeping.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Manage and maintain all resort facilities and equipment.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor revenue and expenses, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
• Oversee inventory control and purchasing.
• Produce and interpret financial reports.

Guest Services:

• Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve any guest issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Develop and implement guest satisfaction programs.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

Team Leadership:

• Recruit, train, and supervise all resort staff.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
• Schedule and oversee all staff.

Marketing and Sales:

• Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies to attract new guests and retain existing ones.
• Manage online reservations and systems.
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and tourism organizations.

Maintenance:

• Oversee all grounds and building maintenance.
• Schedule and oversee all necessary repairs.
• Ensure all sites and facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in resort or hospitality management, preferably in an RV park or campground setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in reservation systems and property management software.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong computer skills.
