We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team! We believe that effective selling requires personal motivation, while demonstrating genuine care for providing our customers with the proper machine for their needs.
Purpose:
- Sells new and used agricultural, turf, and outdoor power equipment to new and existing customers.
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: * Equipment sales experience preferred but willing to train the right person
- Knowledge of agricultural and/or turf equipment preferred
- Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Exhibit excellent customer relationship skills under all varieties of circumstances
- Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports and supplied programs
- Competent basic math skills
- Valid drivers license
Job Type * Full Time (w/benefits) or Part Time (no benefits)
- Combination wage/commission - commensurate with experience

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Represent the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
- Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment offered for sale by the dealership and that of competitive brands
- Monitor competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management
- Maintain pertinent customer information in assigned territory
- Know and follow a defined sales process, including quote utilization and electronic documents, reporting sales activity to Sales Manager
- Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment, including cell phone, laptop computer and any other company assigned possessions
- Conduct new equipment field demonstrations
- Monitor trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management
- Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
- Attend applicable sales training events/seminars, customer clinics, and demonstrations as deemed proper by the company
- Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and takes responsibility to evaluate properly for trading purposes
- Maintain the integrity of the company and respect the current relationships with other company representatives whether they are suppliers or competitors
- Follow up promptly and repeatedly on all proposals and leads
- Be actively involved in “after the sale” customer satisfaction
- Instruct equipment purchaser in the safe and proper operation and routine maintenance of machine at time of sale or delivery
- Record tag #, model & serial #s of unit, engine and attachments on invoice and computer when sold
- Keep new and used equipment in presentable condition and advise service department in writing of any issues encountered concerning each machine
