The Player Services Representative plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless gaming experience for patrons at our historical horse racing gaming facility. This position involves providing top-notch assistance to customers, handing cash transactions, and complying with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong customer service skills, cash handling experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word, and a solid understanding of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission regulations.

Responsibilities

- Greet and engage with patrons in a courteous and welcoming manner.
- Provide information about historical horse racing games, facility amenities, and promotions.
- Process cash transactions accurately, including betting and redemption transactions.
- Comply with all regulations set forth by the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.
- Ensure compliance with Title 31 and Bank Secrecy Act requirements for credit and player services transactions.
- Utilize Microsoft Word to create and maintain documentation as necessary.
- Assist with troubleshooting gaming machines and addressing basic technical issues.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and disputes professionally and promptly.
- Maintain a neat and organized workspace, including cash handling areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient gaming environment.
- Attend training sessions to stay updated on gaming regulations and procedures.
Qualifications
- · Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain applicable Kentucky Horse Racing Commission licensing.
- Previous customer service experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Demonstrated cash handling experience.
- Familiarity with the regulations of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.
- Knowledge of Title 31 and Bank Secrecy Act requirements as they pertain to credit and player services transactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Tolerance for working in areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in customer service and cash handling is preferred.
- Great interpersonal skills, cheerful attitude, and team player are required.
Working Environment
- Primarily work indoors within the gaming facility.
- The environment can be busy and fast-paced, especially during peak gaming hours.
- Interaction with patrons and team members is a regular part of the role.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (minimum of four hours).
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or push a minimum of 30 lbs.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, turn, push, pull, grasp objects and the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
Physical/Mental Requirements
- Must be able to lift and handle up to 30lbs without assistance.
- Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, reach and turn/twist for extended periods of time.
