Job Details
General job duties include providing high quality images through the operation of specialized equipment.
Types of procedures required include vascular angiograms, biopsies, drainages, tube placements, injections, paracentesis, thoracentesis, thrombectomy, embolization's, endovascular procedures, central lines, and dialysis catheters.
Works to minimize the risk and duration of recovery to patients, imitating life support measures as necessary.
Adheres to the Safety and Infection Control Policies established by Sanford Health.
Possesses an extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and medical terminology.
Ability to work a flexible schedule and take after hour call when needed.
Job Requirements
Trained in an Interventional Radiology Setting with a minimum of 1 year experience as an IR tech.
Specific licensures and certifications required : BLS, ARRT, NDMIRT.
Schedule Information
Call is required for IR, with shifts consisting of 10 hour or 8 hour shifts, starting from 630-530.
Every 3-4th weekend (Friday 1730- Monday 0700).
Up to 3 call shifts during the week (1730-0700).
Unit Specific Information
2 weeks of training and orientation program, with the possibility to come off orientation early if validated.
