Technical Services Engineering Internship/Co-op - Reliability Engineer
Location: Swiftwater PA

Description
The selected candidate will work in the Manufacturing & Supply, Technical Services department and be a member of the Reliability Engineering team. This individual will be responsible to establish effective preventative and predictive maintenance plans for GMP Pharmaceutical process equipment according to OEM recommendations, industry standards and process application.
This position will involve working in the field 25-40% of the time within the maintenance organization. The student will benefit from mentoring, coaching and side-by-side work with knowledgeable and experienced experts in the field. Candidates will receive an in-depth, hands-on learning experience on how process systems, components and sub-systems operate and function in an operating CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) manufacturing facility. Additionally, the incumbent will interface with various cross-functional groups, employees supporting site initiatives and receive GMP training required to operate within a manufacturing facility, including various GMP and or GXP systems to complete their assignments. They will learn how to create, read, and interpret maintenance job plans, engineering specifications and schematics and will gain a working knowledge of the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system which can be applied to future carrier opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Execute:
- Criticality and gap assessments for equipment and components.
- FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis), RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and identify alterative options to reduce or eliminate risk.
- Develop Historical trends to evaluate the criticality assessment, FEMA, and RCA for periodic review.
- Troubleshooting equipment issues (Deviations)
- Investigating equipment related failures (Investigations)
- Implementing equipment related changes (CCRs/CAPAs)
- Updating drawings
- Updating procedures
- Specifying parts
- Capturing user requirements
- Walkdown of equipment
- Defining spare parts for equipment
- Evaluation of preventative maintenance
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Computer Systems, or Electrical Engineering (or related field) at an accredited college or university, with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2027
- Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi.
- Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40 hrs./week for the full duration of the internship/Co-o
- Must have permanent US work authorization
