Position Summary
The Associate Director of HCP Marketing will contribute to and lead the launch strategy, key initiatives, and operations across HCP channels critical to the success and commercialization of priority hemophilia pipeline assets for the U.S. Sanofi Genzyme Rare Blood Disorders Hemophilia marketing team. This role will work in close partnership across the Global and U.S. functions to ensure launch plans align with US priorities, strategic direction, and market dynamics. They will track and manage launch related issues and lead the team in identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans. They will contribute to the continuous improvement of the launch excellence process based on lessons learned and best practices. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can work effectively in a dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy and creative problem-solving skills.
This position reports to the Lead, US Hemophilia Pipeline Development & Commercialization, Rare Blood Disorders. This position will be based in Cambridge, MA.
Key responsibilities, competencies and expectations of this role include but are not limited to:
Contribute to the development of the commercial launch strategy for the hemophilia Phase III asset efanesoctocog-alpha
Lead large brand level launch initiatives that span across HCP channels including building and managing tactical plans and omnichannel frameworks to support go-to-market, aligning strategy, messaging, and resources, and facilitating best-practice sharing
Contribute to the development of a new branded HCP creative campaign and messaging aligned with the overall brand strategy
Lead the development of HCP promotional and unbranded education material end-to-end, through development of content, design, and the submission, review, and approval process
Work closely with marketing, sales leadership, sales training, and cross-functional team members to develop and optimize the execution of high-impact launch marketing tactics (personal, non-personal, peer-to-peer, congress planning, etc.)
Lead the ongoing refinement of HCP insights in partnership with internal Market Research team and ensure market research and business insights are incorporated into the development and review of the brand plan and tactical plans at and following launch
Serve as the media lead for HCP marketing activities
Facilitate and manage pre- and post-launch KPIs
Collaborate with cross-functional Launch Team members to ensure all projects are tracking towards on-time and high-quality launch in alignment with US strategy
Contribute to Launch Team meetings, Steering Committee meetings, and extended team meetings (drive agendas, slides, communicate decisions and action items) and management of pre-launch and post-launch dashboards
Elevate the team’s understanding of hemophilia market dynamics and all aspects of HCP and patient insights
Analyze effectiveness of marketing initiatives and recommend optimizations
Contribute to the development of the annual brand plan including identifying programs and tactics to support key strategies
Manage relationship with multiple agencies, ensuring that work meets the strategic and communication objectives and projects are delivered on time and on budget
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
7 years of pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience marketing drugs in the U.S. is required. Hemophilia or rare disease experience strongly preferred but not required
1 years of experience in launch management with specialty/innovative pharmaceutical products strongly preferred but not required
Experience in managing external partners to assist in the development of strategy and tactics
Digital, multichannel, and media expertise
Experience in setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for launch products
Demonstrated experience in creating, developing, and leading brand initiatives that drive change
Demonstrated self-starter capable of owning managing several large complex projects simultaneously from beginning to end
Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and as part of a high-functioning team while being able to manage changing priorities
Proven track record of effectively influencing, collaborating, and communicating with internal and external partners
Knowledge of the Legal and Regulatory landscape pertaining to pharmaceutical marketing; including Medical/Legal/Regulatory Review Committee process
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and demonstrated financial, communication, and presentation skills
High level of personal and professional integrity with strong work ethic
Ability to travel 20-30%.
