Responsibilities Cycle (Exports)
The Export Flow Controller manages export operations, ensuring efficient and compliant international trade activities while overseeing production execution and flow management.
- The Export Flow Controller will work closely with the Head of Supply Chain APU Release, fellow Export Flow Controllers and E2E Flow Controller’s to mange customer flows, customer data, Outbound Deliveries, customer demand and all relevant export documents and permits.
- Manage export documentation, bookings, shipment requests for finished goods and compliance with international trade regulations for all exports (both non-commercial and commercial) from the Swiftwater site.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth and compliant export processes.
Responsibilities Cycle (Production Execution 0-3 Months)
- Manage Flow Execution: Oversee key steps in the Level 1 operating unit, projecting lead times for product documentation, testing, and release activities.
- Coordinate release Planning and Prioritization: Manage batch prioritization and release planning based on market needs, ensuring FIFO at the final step.
- Coordinating with FaCT participants to make sure each step is completed in time by operations.
- Identify factors causing schedule instability, propose corrective actions.
- Escalate Flow Issues: Monitor daily flow in FACT, addressing backlog issues, and escalating to leadership when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Site Scheduler on frozen horizon supply risks.
- Collaborates with Product Leaders to ensure product demand is met.
- Support All SWT based products that are shipped internationally with creation MM forms, shipment request creation, customer account management, and working with Regulatory affairs to provide ILVF’s (international lot variation forms),etc. You will initiate and manage the shipment booking process with associated freight forwarder/courier and the importing country’s broker to ensure timely and compliant final deliveries. This role requires significant collaboration with the Logistics Operations team in Swiftwater, the Export Customer Service team and the Distribution Transportation team.
- Drive Budget Adherence and Supply Chain Cost Savings The flow controller role will play a critical part in driving the overall cost savings for the entire Supply Chain department as well as maintaining the departments yearly budget. This will require continuously looking at shipping modes, lanes, container types, etc for ways to maintain efficiencies while finding more cost-effective ways of working.
- Adopt and improve standardized software tools Assist with the full implementation of iShift in 2026 and further system improvements throughout implementation.
- Facilitate best practices exchange across sites Ensure QTA’s are fully executed for all collaborative workflows within the Sanofi network and with external partners if required. Look for ways to standardize documentation, process and leverage shipping solutions used throughout the network.
- Support the Level 2 and 3 QDCI meetings with input from GSP

Education and Experience:
- Minimum BS degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or related field.. APICS certification is preferred
- Strong background in Supply Chain processes, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with proven track record of aligning stakeholders, driving decision-making and optimizing business outcome for its perimeter
- Knowledge with international shipping processes as well as vaccine product flows, pharmaceutical production process and quality adherence.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with multiple partners within the Sanofi network, external partners, forwarder/couriers and brokers. Change agent: ensure best practice implementation and system adoption / system evolution. Proactivity is a must, given the anticipation component of the position.
