GENERAL SUMMARY (Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job):
1. Coordinate and manage an effective production training function for designated shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance):
1. Work with Operations and Human Resources to coordinate and schedule hourly production training
2. Conduct production training
3. Coordinate the OJT Qualification process; Act as the primary qualification provider, while working with Team Leaders and other resources to ensure that all qualification assessments are completed in a timely manner.
4. Coordination of Key Skills training and orientation for introduction of new production associates; Scheduling, delivery, maintenance of key skills equipment and resources as needed.
5. Ensure maintenance of accurate and timely OJT documentation (Maintain Plex records, Skills Matrix, Storage of qualification, etc.).
6. Effective auditing of the OJT process; Observe all OJT participants (trainers, mentors, etc.) who have roles in the process
7. Collection, coordination, and reporting of all OJT metrics (OJT Audit results, OJT Evaluations, on-time qualifications, etc.).
8. Lead the effort for maintenance and kaizen of OJT system; Work with Operations and Human Resources in planning for system needs, implementation of improvements, etc.
9. Coach and train hourly production trainers as needed
10. Act as liaison between Trainers / Mentors / Team Leaders / Supervisors / Operations
11. Assist with other Operations functions, as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).
1. Extensive experience with a variety of Sanoh America production processes

1. This position will make determinations about whether a production associate meets all training criteria. If an unqualified trainee is released as qualified, the company could suffer costs from injuries, quality defects, poor efficiency, and excess scrap.

1. This position reports directly to the Plant HR Manager.
2. This position does not have any direct reports.
WORKING CONDITIONS (Describe the environment within which the work is performed).
1. Production floor environment, with occasional time spent in a training / meeting room environment
2. Coverage on opposite shifts may be required
3. Overtime of varying levels may be required
