Dish Machine Operator

Job Summary

Provides the highest level of Guest Service. Under supervision, is responsible for setting up the kitchen for operation, assist in preparing food, loading and unloading dish machines, cleaning, maintaining and organizing kitchen and work stations to ensure a high level of sanitation and safety.

Wears Company issued uniform. Wears black, non skid sole, leather type shoes. Wears Company issued mask and gloves as needed. Must be able to work flexible hours, 7:00 a.m. - 12:30 a.m., for 6 to 8 hour shifts. Must be available for shifts at night, weekends and holidays. Must be friendly, cooperative and work as a part of a team. Must be willing to conform to grooming and hygiene requirements. Must obtain a CA Food Handler card within 30 days of hire, or show proof of existing CA Food Handler card.

Job Tasks (in Order Of Importance)

• Greet every Guest and answer Guests questions and provide consistent, friendly and helpful guest service.
• Sort dishes, glasses, and flatware.
• Load and unload dish machine.
• Wash large dishes and pans by hand.
• Check function sheet for daily events and prepare kitchen and dish machine area for operation.
• Assist in food preparation.
• Maintain proper operation of dish machine.
• Clean break area and store room and maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
• Set up buffet tables.
• Break down food table in break area.
• Stocks deliveries.
• Perform closing duties to ensure clean and safe station
• Put away clean dishes and glassware.
• Empty all trash cans and breaks down boxes.
• Clean dishwasher.
• Mop work station and entire kitchen floor and use floor machine weekly.
• Work as a part of a team and provide consistently friendly, helpful service to coworkers.

Training And Experience

Prior dish washing experience in high volume kitchen desirable.

Must provide outstanding Guest Service.
