What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional-Physical Education (SY 25/26) position at Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District?
SUMMARY : Under basic supervision, supervises and directs students in the physical education program. Verifies that students are completing assigned work and following directions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Assists in the design, development, and implementation of lesson plans as modeled by certified teacher. Replicates instruction provided by certified teacher.
- Maintains classroom discipline. Makes parent contact when necessary. Plans and prepares instructional materials. Provides group instructional support.
- Monitors students and verifies that they are completing their assigned work.
- Instructs classes on topics such as health, wellness, physical activity and nutrition.
- Assists with grading and entering student work, as directed by certified teacher.
- Maintains and manages classroom inventory and supplies.
- Maintains student records / attendance requirements / and other related reports.
- Assists with all online testing, including preparation and completion, as needed.
- Assists with preparing physical environment that meet the needs of students.
- Assists with parent activities.
- Completes other duties as assigned or required.
