Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties Include :
- Assists with the Sciences for Health Programs labs, which includes Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Chemistry
- Prepares and deconstructs labs, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Ensures and adheres to cleanliness and safety following established regulations and guidelines.
- Greets and assists students and staff participating in labs which includes answering and directing phone calls and assisting in-person visitors.
- Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws / regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.
- Strictly honors the privacy, security, and confidentiality of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Reports to : Academic Lab Manager, Sciences for Health Programs
QUALIFICATIONS
Required : The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours. Must have successfully completed of one of the following courses : Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, or Chemistry.
Additional Requirements : A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred : Students with additional laboratory or health sciences coursework.
