Position Summary: Our managers are highly energetic, customer service oriented individuals. Candidates are expected to work multiple hours in a fast paced environment with the sole intent of providing 100% guest satisfaction while showing outstanding leadership and guidance.
Compensation: Exempt, salaried position.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Superior customer relations and the ability to communicate well with guests
- Absolute commitment to excellent customer service
- Possess a thorough knowledge of federal and New Mexico laws and requirements for alcohol and food service
- Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal, state and local regulations
- Adhere to SF Dining Alcohol service policies for safe service of alcoholic beverages. Prevent over service
- Maintain professional restaurant image, including superior sanitation and cleanliness controls
- Provide superior employee relations with the ability to build and maintain a positive work environment founded on teamwork and a customer focus
- Assist in the supervision of restaurant staff in a positive, professional manner
- Assist the General Manager in maintaining food & beverage costs, labor and overall restaurant spending.
- Attend all mandatory in-house trainings including Alcohol Service and Harassment
- Follow cash handling and payment procedures
Qualifications & Characteristics:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Impeccable integrity, honesty and trustworthiness
- Proficiency in the following restaurant functions: food planning and preparation, personnel management, alcohol service and drink preparation, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures.
- Exceptional listening and communication skills, including the skills necessary to deal tactfully and professionally with guests, employees, management and vendors
- Food and beverage knowledge and the willingness to further your education
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use a POS system and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must have, and maintain, the New Mexico Alcohol Server and New Mexico Food Handler permits
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to assist in the promotion of the restaurant through social media outlets is a plus
- Knowledge of a profit and loss statement is beneficial.
Working Conditions
- Hours may vary and the Manager must have flexible availability to work nights, weekends, holidays and more than 40 hours a week as necessary.
- While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods, walk, reach with arms and perform repetitive hand and wrist motions. The position also requires bending, twisting, and lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds
- Regularly required to handle food and hot beverages and use hazardous equipment
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in management (restaurant management preferred)
- 5 years of experience in the restaurant industry
- Appropriate NM Alcohol Server and NM Food Handler permits
