QA Tech

Scope of Position:

Ensures agency’s compliance with state and federal guidelines in documentation and coverage determinations. To ensure the quality of the delivery of home health services as determined through documentation.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or GED.

2. Able to read and write in English.

3. One (1) year experience working in home health or in related health field.

Responsibilities/duties:

• Participates in staff meetings as directed.
• Attends in services and continuing education programs as requested.
• Assists with orientation of new personnel as requested.
• Participates in QAPI activities as requested.
• Reviews clinical notes for completeness daily to ensure all documentation had been obtained to support the plan of care and claim for payment.
• Completes clinical review of skilled notes and provide variances regarding note deficiencies and corrections.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of Medicare guidelines for home health coverage and compliance.
• Verify that medication list is updated.
• Alphabetizes the clinical notes.
• Maintains a current mock log of 485s and variances in separate binders.
• Tracks and documents daily activities and reports to QA LVN.
• Verifies that infection control report is completed as required.
• Reviews all telephone orders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
