General Function :
The HR Recruiter will assist the Recruiting Department in coordinating the full-cycle recruitment process. This position will support recruitment logistics, ensure compliant documentation, and assist with maintaining the organization's applicant tracking system (ATS) and background check process. The HR Recruiter will be the main point of contact with several school site administrators and department directors to prioritize employment needs.
Education / Training / Experience :
Minimum : High school diploma with 1-2 years of Human Resources experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer software knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly organized and able to meet deadlines. Basic knowledge of human resources / recruiting concepts and principles.
Preferred : Public School experience. A minimum of one year's experience using an ATS is preferred. Good knowledge of state and federal laws affecting Human Resources. Prior recruiting experience. Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Knowledge / Skills and Abilities :
- 1 years of experience in a full-lifecycle recruitment environment.
- Experience in proactive candidate sourcing from multiple sources (i.e., Internet, college / university, advertisements, etc.)
- Ability to maintain confidential District information.
- Excellent communication, time management, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong clerical and organizational skills
- Great communicator. Enjoys working with people face-to-face, on the phone, and via email.
- Works with urgency and effectively prioritizes work.
- Accuracy for entering data into multiple systems.
- Ability to problem solve and think quickly.
- Comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization, with different personalities.
Essential Job Functions
All functions are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety and environmental regulations, and facility and computer security policies and procedures. Functions are subject to change from time to time to meet the needs of the District. Current essential functions include but are not limited to the following :
Salary Range : 42,848 to $55,460
Resources Used in Performing Job Include (but are not limited to) :
Computer, an applicant tracking system, and an HRIS system to support the recruiting efforts. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and HRIS.
Physical / Cognitive Requirements :
Must be able to sit at a desk or computer for long periods during the day. Heavy telephone use. Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with calls both inside and outside the District. Manual dexterity to operate computers and other office equipment. Requires light physical exertion, including some walking, bending, and reaching. The environment may be hectic with constant ringing of telephones and frequent interruptions. Overtime work may be required.
Environmental Conditions :
Be able to sit for long periods. The typical office environment has many interruptions all day. Most work is performed indoors, and some driving is involved, traveling from site to site.
