Job Title: Inbound/Logistics Coordinator

Reports to: Inbound Supervisor / Transportation Manager
Position Status: Full Time
Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to ensure that we deliver the best quality fresh & frozen seafood in the shortest time possible with a high level of customer service. This position may require some physical work, assisting customers with will-call orders, and may require placing labels on FedEx shipments. This position may involve answering questions and researching information such as the billing of orders. The nature of this job requires an individual that is intelligent, dependable, and detail-oriented. This individual will work closely with purchasing, accounts payable/receivable, operations, and sales. This individual must be motivated to meet the goals of the department and be willing to “go the extra mile” in servicing the customer.
Primary Position Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinating Purchase orders from cold storage and or airport cargo stations
- Communicate Production/Operational issues with the Logistics supervisor
- Communicate Logistical issues (routing, drivers) with Logistics Supervisor
- Assist with Fed Ex shipments
- Handle grocery accounts, schedule delivery appointments, and create BOLs
- Check-in drivers and returns
- Monitor incoming inbound shipments to ensure that there are no delays
- Coordinate cold storage appointments
- Coordinate product delivery schedule with vendors and appointment calendar
- Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
- Distribute next-day shipments appropriately
- Prepare and update inbound summary daily
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must have three (3) years of relevant work experience
- Must have communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively, both written and verbally, with internal and external customers
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have the ability to multi-task
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Knowledge of the transportation industry is a plus
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Required Computer Knowledge:
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Working knowledge of GPS software (not required but a plus).
Education:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D., or a combination of relevant work experience
