What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Santa Monica Seafood Company?
SANTA MONICA SEAFOOD is looking to hire Servers Part-Time/Full-time for our Café in Santa Monica. Candidates must have a positive, cheerful, and energetic work attitude as this position will require the ability to give exceptional personalized service to our customers and efficiently manage tables.
Responsibilities:
- Take customers’ food and drink orders.
- Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner.
- Suggest appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials.
- Work closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience.
- Confirm orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-year experience in a high-volume atmosphere
- Basic wine and beer knowledge
- Excellent oral communication skills required Positive interpersonal skills
Serve-Safe Certified (preferred but may be obtained after employment) - Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask.
- Flexible work schedule that may include days, nights, and weekends.
