Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in infusion therapy, and will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and providing education to patients and their families. This role requires excellent clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Administer intravenous (IV) medications and infusions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications during infusion therapy.
- Provide acute pain management and support for patients undergoing various treatments.
- Conduct specimen collection processing and ensure accurate documentation of patient information.
- Assist with case management by coordinating patient care plans and follow-up appointments.
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in occupational health settings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols, particularly in infectious disease care.
- Provide specialized care for neonates requiring ventilator support as needed.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in acute pain management and familiarity with mammography procedures is preferred.
- Knowledge of toddler care principles is beneficial for family-centered care approaches.
- Proficiency in specimen collection processing techniques is an asset.
- Strong case management skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families.
- Experience with neonatal ventilators is a plus for those working in specialized units.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
