Job Summary

As a Bartender, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service, crafting innovative cocktails, and maintaining a lively and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Activities & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, take drink orders, and provide personalized recommendations on cocktails, wines, and spirits. Answer questions about the menu, daily specials, and prepare guests for an exceptional dining experience.
  • Craft and serve cocktails with precision, maintaining consistency in taste, quality, and presentation. Prepare syrups, infusions, and garnishes for daily service.
  • Know the full cocktail menu and beyond, with a deep understanding of preparation techniques and ingredient descriptions, to craft drinks that meet guest preferences.
  • Recommend and serve wine pairings and specialty drinks to complement guests’ meals and preferences.
  • Work alongside kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages and coordinate with servers to meet guests’ needs.
  • Maintain and monitor stock levels of spirits, garnishes, glassware, and bar tools, ensuring everything is in good condition and available for service.
  • Keep the bar area clean and organized throughout the shift, including proper storage of ingredients, cleaning glassware, and maintaining sanitary conditions.
  • Monitor guests' satisfaction, quickly addressing concerns or issues to ensure a positive experience.
  • Check guests’ IDs and ensure alcohol is served responsibly, following legal requirements for age and consumption.
  • Ensure all drinks are presented according to standards, with attention to garnish, glassware, and portion size.
  • Maintain high service speed during peak hours while ensuring attention to detail and quality.
  • Regularly check and clean bar equipment (e.g., shakers, blenders, strainers) and ensure they are in proper working order.
  • Work closely with other bartenders and service staff to support smooth service, including assisting with food orders and clearing tables when necessary.
  • Accurately process guest payments through the POS system, handling cash, credit transactions, and tips according to company procedures.
  • Rotate bar stock, ensure fresh ingredients, and follow proper food storage and handling practices to maintain quality.
  • Communicate any new drink specials or menu changes to guests and ensure the bar team is informed.
  • Complete end-of-shift responsibilities including cleaning, restocking, and ensuring all equipment is ready for the next service.
  • Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines in accordance with health regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed within the scope of the role as assigned
  • Assist in recording, tracking and maintaining inventory levels to then report to the purchaser

  • Commercial use blenders, grinders, slicers, broilers, convection ovens, deep fryers, griddles, grills, microwave ovens, ranges, rotisseries, steamers, cutlery (boning knives, chefs' knives, paring knives), ovens (conveyor ovens, rotating rack ovens, salamander ovens, pizza ovens, smokers or smoke ovens), Cutting machinery
  • Domestic knives (bread knives, filet knives, utility knives)

  • Bag-in-Box, kegs (1/6 and ½ bbl)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly rate starting from $15.00 in house gratuity
  • Daily free family meal prepared in house

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High school education or equivalent. Ability to work independently
  • 6 months previous food or drink preparation and customer service experience with a rotating menu and ingredients
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds
  • Ability and knowledge of how to maneuver up to 160 pounds keg (shifting ½ bbl a maximum of several feet)
  • Ability to stand and move for long periods of time

Preferred:

  • 1 or more years work-related experience
  • Certification in Food Safety and Responsible Alcohol Service (ServSafe, TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, etc.)
  • Experience in menu planning
  • Strong knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, and Non-Alcoholic cocktails with an interest in continuing education in these areas

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
