Job description
Sapphire Construction Services is a Flathead Valley local earthwork contractor specializing in commercial and residential site work. Applicant should possess previous earthwork experience, be familiar with Civil Drawings and specifications, Geotechnical Documents, wet and dry utility applications, earthmoving procedures, and applicable equipment for this work. Bid preparation by utilizing knowledge of equipment and production rates paired with ability to quantify utility installations and earth moving operations. Strong communication skills for conversation with Contractors, subs and suppliers, etc. Use of estimating software, time tracking software and excel.
Qualifications
• Ability to read and interpret civil and structural construction drawings and specifications
• Ability to read and understand geotechnical investigations
• Previous experience working on, or managing, earthwork related construction
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Familiar with OSHA standards as related to excavations
• Familiarity with types and sizes of excavation equipment
• Experienced with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, In-Eight Estimate, PDF Programs, Power Point, Procore, E-mail, Bluebeam
• Knowledge of Environmental & EEO Requirements
• Time Management Skills
• File Management
• Public Speaking
• Attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies

Responsibilities
• Organizing, controlling, monitoring and recording activities from daily job site production
• Coordinate and communicate with General Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, Municipalities, and Utility Companies
• Maintain records as required regarding job progress, costs, material usage, etc
• Assist in planning and scheduling of job
• Review plans and specifications to determine material requirements (quantities and qualities), pricing of materials, etc.
• Work with suppliers as required facilitating the handling and delivery of materials
• Bid preparation and review
• Utilize 811 services
• Developing quantity takeoffs, performing site visits, estimating the work, and estimate review and submission
• Management of submittals, change orders, and RFIs
• Submit permit applications along with certifications and maintain accurate records
• Make decisions and recommendations, which can greatly impact corporate relationship with Client and project profitability
Work Schedule Full Time
Pay Range $75k-85k
Must be able to relocate to the Flathead Valley
