Painter and Sandblaster

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster and Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting or finishing cylinders and large equipment by using sandblasting and painting techniques. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials and equipment. The Sandblaster/Painter will ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely, adhering to industry standards.

Duties

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, or shape surfaces of various materials.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, or other contaminants prior to finishing.
• Paint cylinders and heavy equipment once surface is prepared
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality control throughout the sandblasting process.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition, performing routine maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Document work completed and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sandblasting and painting or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and strength; ability to lift heavy materials as required.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.

Pay: From $17.03 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed
