At Sapphire Nursing at Wappingers, a premier skilled nursing facility in Dutchess, New York, we are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to fill full-time RN Supervisor positions working 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am shifts.
The RN Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day clinical activities of healthcare personnel, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting patient information, making critical decisions, administering medication, wound care, and personalized interventions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, housekeeping, and security teams
- Collaborate with medical support staff to ensure resident needs are met
- Maintain medical supplies and equipment
- Provide education and training to patients and staff members as needed
- Assess patients' physical and psycho-social conditions on an ongoing basis
- Accurately record patient information in electronic medical records systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of equipment, instrumentation, and medications
- Act as a liaison between patient care teams and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in regulatory agency site visits and infection control initiatives
Requirements:
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- 3 years of RN experience preferred
