Qualifications and/or duties:
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal or no supervision.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be able to work aseptically with microbiological samples.
- Must be able to take sterile cheese samples and plate for microbiology.
- Take sterile samples of anything required and plate for microbiology, aseptically swab areas in plant and plate for microbiology.
- Must be able to read and interpret microbiological plating samples.
- Must be able to work accurately in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisors.
- Must be able to accurately perform simple mathematical formulas.
- Must be able to learn to use all equipment in the Lab proficiently.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be able to work safely with chemicals.
- Must be able to operate the FT 120 Foss.
- Must be able to operate the CEM oven.
- Must be able to operate the salt analyzer.
- Must be able to learn new procedures as they arise.
- Responsible for food safety and quality.
- Perform SAP functions in the system.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned.
This position will support the lab for an estimated 4-months with possible transition to Operations. Hourly Rate range: 21.55 - 23.95
