Position Summary
Responsible for assembling resident information and maintaining the residents' medical records
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Make packets for new admission and readmission charts.
Create Hospice / Dialysis charts as needed.
Maintain extra charts for all units for weekend and after-hours admissions.
Pick up discharge charts from all units and verify paperwork is complete.
Make copies and distribute discharge information per established procedures.
Manage and complete any medical requests, reviews, or audits
Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Thin out and purge medical records charts.
Filing any incoming paperwork and maintain file cabinets in an organized fashion.
Qualifications
High School graduate
Nursing or Medical background with one year of previous experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Self-starter requiring minimum supervision.
Possess basic clerical abilities, able to use a computer and have clear, legible handwriting.
Adaptable to varied demands and able to handle interruptions.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, detail oriented
Physical & Visual Requirements
Occasional standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching; occasional lifting up to 25#.
Frequent sitting, use of hands; frequent lifting up to 10#.
