Accountable to: Chief Executive Officer
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in gerontology or related field or a professional license in a related field or three years’ experience in a senior healthcare setting preferred;
Two years’ experience in direct care;
Two years’ supervisory experience.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Ensure the center operates according to regulations, standards, and practices.
- Participate in all aspects of hiring, evaluating, and terminating staff.
- Perform direct supervision of all center staff with the exception of nursing.
- Participate in the supervision of nursing.
- Assist in the completion of all required paperwork for new employees.
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of personnel and participant records.
- Ensure that all personnel maintain current licensure and/or certification.
- Maintain staff attendance records and approve hours worked.
- Responsible for required staff in-service hours, including scheduling and documentation.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate staff to participant ratio.
- Conduct tours for prospective participants and their families as needed.
- Ensure that all enrollment forms are completed during the participant’s intake process as needed.
- Maintain communication with families upon enrollment throughout the first 90 days and then as needed.
- Conduct regular follow-up with all participants who are on hold.
- Communicate with family members regarding activity programs and other related issues.
- Oversee planning and implementation of activity clubs and daily programs.
- Ensure completion of initial Activity Assessment and Interest List on all participants.
- Assist with the completion of the monthly newsletter.
- Responsible for Participant Advisory Council, including distribution of minutes.
- Resolve participant-to-participant or participant-to-staff problems.
- Recommend members for Family Advisory Council to the CEO.
- Participate in Family Advisory Council as needed.
- Supervise data collection and record keeping including outcome management data and individualized Person-Centered Plans of Care.
- Assist in the completion of PMMI to achieve or maintain accreditation/certification.
- Develop marketing strategies to meet center goals.
- Responsible for center petty cash.
- Supervise all shopping and ordering of supplies and food for center.
- Participate in Corporate Center meetings.
- Responsible for the completion of weekly and monthly census reports.
- Submit all Corporate Reports on time.
- Follow Standard Precautions at all times.
- Comply with all HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, group discussions, and other relevant training.
- Speak Vietnamese is a plus
- All other jobs and duties as required.
